In the Edo period, the Satsuki brewery, which is named after “Satsuki Castle”, also known as Sagari’s residence, Hitoyoshi Castle. A long-established brewery that has been in business for over 100 years, and is known for its Shochu and Kawabe shochu.
After the factory tour, you can sample about 30 kinds of brands, including shochu, which is limited to the factory, in a tour room named Shiromizo, which is popular as a stopover for both individual and group customers. Of course, you can see Hitoyoshi Castle ruins with magnificent stone walls and enjoy tasting in an elegant mood. Hitoyoshi is also famous as a hot spring resort, so after tasting, it is also recommended to relax in the footbath at the entrance of Shiromizo.
